General Surface Care Tips
Routine care and maintenance will keep Basix® Americas, Inc. looking new and as great as the day that it was installed.
- Routine Care
Cleaning with soapy water or ammonia-based cleansers will remove most dirt and stains. Stubborn stains can be removed
with bleach or bleach-based cleansers or non abrasive cleansers such as Soft Scrub™.
- Do not use harsh chemicals
The surface can be damaged by harsh substances, including chemicals such as paint thinner, mineral spirits or acetone
based nail polish remover
- Prevent heat damage
As with all countertop materials, it is important to minimize direct heat exposure. High temperatures can damage the
surface. To prevent damage always use hot pads or trivets under frying pans, hot pots or heat-generating appliances
- To remove minor scratches
Lightly sand with 220 or higher grit sandpaper, followed by scrubbing with an abrasive cleanser.
- Removing minor cuts, scratches
As with all countertop materials, you should not cut directly on your Basix® Americas, Inc. countertop. Minor scratches can be removed
by lightly sanding with 220 or higher grit sandpaper, following by scrubbing with an abrasive cleaner.
For severe scratches, consult your local Basix® Americas, Inc. dealer or fabricator
Basix® Americas, Inc. Solid Surface Sinks
Cleaning
Clean sink with any ammonia based household cleanser. Soft Scrub® and a green Scotch-Brite® pad may also be used to remove residue. Rub green Scotch-Brite® pad over entire sink to blend in finish.
NOTE: Do Not use Scotch-Brite® on the countertop surface.
Disinfecting
Fill your sink 1/4 full with diluted household bleach (1 part water/1 part bleach). Be sure to get some of the solution into the overflow opening to disinfect. Let the solution stay in the sink for 15 minutes; then wash sides and bottom as solution drains. Rinse the sink with water.

Warranty Procedures
To obtain service under this warranty, contact the dealer or fabricator from which the Basix® Americas, Inc. product was
purchased. Basix ® Americas, Inc. must be advised in writing of the purported defect(s) prior to the expiration of the
warranty period. The customer must furnish Basix ® Americas, Inc. the name and address of the original fabricator
or installer and proof of original purchase.
